VDV Recommendation 157 provides BOStrab-based recommendations on the practical implementation of the requirements for the door closing specified in the European standard EN 14752:2019 “Railway applications - Body side entrance systems for rolling stock” in respect of passenger doors of rolling stock operated according to BOStrab, i.e. tramcars, light rail vehicles and metro vehicles.
This Recommendation is intended for employees of public transport companies responsible for the vehicle technology and for engineers of the rail vehicle industry responsible for door systems.
It has been prepared by the “door” working group of the VDV Committee on Urban Rail Rolling Stock and considers the present state of the art for tramcars, light rail vehicles and metro vehicles as well as the current European standard EN 14752:2019.
This edition of VDV Recommendation 157 supersedes the edition from 2017.
