The VDV Recommendation 234 describes the latest developments and specifications for the design of the driver's workplace in the low-floor Line-Service Bus. The specialist expertise from operations, occupational medicine and technology of the VDV member companies can be found, as is the alignment with the European recommendation EBSF (European Bus System of the Future).

The influence of electromobility and future driver assistance systems on the driver's workplace are also taken into account.
